Oppo R5 smartphone to hit Indian stores soon

New Delhi: Chinese handset maker Oppo is set to launch its slimmest smartphone- R5 in Indian market by the emd of this month, according to reports.

Oppo had unveiled the R5 smartphone in October in Singapore. The smartphone is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 25,000-Rs 30,000.

It measures a mere 4.85 mm, which makes it one of the thinnest phones in the world. Powered by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa core 64bit processor, Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB RAM, the phone sports a 5.2-inch full-HD AMOLED display. It comes with 16GB internal storage but doesn't feature a microSD card slot. 

It has a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. Connectivity options include, 4G LTE (including Indian 4G bands), 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It runs on Color OS 2.0, based on Android 4.4 and has a 2000mAh battery. 

The phone features Oppo's VOOC charging technology to get a 75 percent charge in just 30 minutes.
