Government launches new Indian trade portal

Government has launched new user-friendly Indian Trade Portal- www.indiantradeportal.in.  It was inaugurated by the Minister of State (Independent Charge) Commerce and Industry Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman at a function held in New Delhi.

It is an initiative of the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry. The portal has been developed and maintained by Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO).
  • Objective: This portal aims to provide information related to the Most-Favoured Nation (MFN) and preferential tariffs, rules of origin, technical barriers to trade faced by Indian exporters and ensure better utilisation of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) at single point.
  • It will also facilitate the Indian industry’s integration into the regional value chain.
  • It will provide important data for use of exporters and importers at one place, in a user friendly manner. Thus contributing to ease of doing business for trade and industry.
