United India Insurance Company (UIIC) – Administrative Officers (AO) Exam Syllabus, Pattern & Eligibility Criteria

Administrative Officers (AO) Exam Pattern : The selection would be in the stages of Screening test and Main examination (online multiple choice objective type) Descriptive Test and interview. The shortlisted candidates who qualify in screening test based on cut off marks shall become eligible to appear for main examination. The screening test will only be qualifying nature. 10 times the number of vacancies in each discipline/category will be called for Main exam and Descriptive Test, which will also be conducted through online mode. The above tests except the Test of English Language will be available bilingually, i.e. English and Hindi.


Structure of Screening Test :

Duration : 1 Hours (60 Minute)
This time the exam is going to be online. This exam consists of the following sections.

English Language : 30 Marks
Quantitative Aptitude : 35 Marks
Reasoning Ability : 35 Marks
Structure of Main Examination : 

For Generalist Posts :

No. of Questions : 200
Duration : 2 Hours (120 Minute)
This time the exam is going to be online. This exam consists of the following sections.

Reasoning : 50 Marks
English Language : 40 Marks
Quantitative Aptitude : 50 Marks
General Awareness (with special reference to Financial Sector) : 40 Marks
Computer Literacy : 20 Marks
For Specialist Posts :

Type of Questions : Objective
No. of Questions : 200
Duration : 2 Hours (120 Minute)
This exam consists of the following sections.

Reasoning : 40 Marks
English Language : 40 Marks
Quantitative Aptitude & Computer Literacy : 40 Marks
General Awareness (with special reference to Financial Sector) : 40 Marks
Technical & professional knowledge in relevant discipline : 40 Marks
Descriptive Test :

Name of Tests : Essay writing/précis writing and Letter writing
No. of Questions : 2 Questions
Negative Marking : 0.25 Marks deducted for Wrong answer.
Duration : 30 minutes

The following areas are considered important based on the previous year examinations.

Eligibility Criteria :

For Generalist : Candidate must possess the minimum qualification of a Degree in any discipline from a recognized University OR any equivalent qualification recognized as such by Central Government.
For Finance : Chartered Accountant (ICAI) / Cost Accountant (ICWA)/ MBA Finance / B.Com / M.Com.
For Automobile Engineering : B.E./B.Tech. in Automobile Engineering OR Graduate in Mechanical Engineering with Diploma (at least one year duration) in Automobile Engineering.
For Legal : Graduate in Law.
Age Limit :

Minimum : 21 years
Maximum : 30 years
