Director Puri Jagannadh is saddened by the demise of music director Chakri. The filmmaker shares a special bond with the late music director. Chakri began his career in Telugu cinema with Baachi in 2000. "He was there in the office till 1 am, and it seems before going home he told the office boy, "Enduko Jagan annayya ni ippudu choodalani undi ra (I feel like meeting Puri Jagannadh now)." We both started our career at the same time, and I'm dejected to hear the shocking news. I really miss my brother," said Puri Jagannadh.
Chakri's mortal remains were cremated at Punjagutta on Monday evening. He is survived by his wife Sravani.
