New Delhi: Even as Prime Minister Narendra Modi continues to stand out this year on Twitter, in terms of trends, it was the Kashmir's massive floods that caught the nation's attention as they came together to save the lives of people stranded in the worst floods in nearly six decades in the state.


The Kashmir floods saw the nation unite and send messages of hope and prayers to victims of the calamity, along with appeals for donations and volunteers using the hashtags #JKfloods and #kashmirfloods


India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi has used a lot of innovative ways to connect with fellow Indians. PM Modi seems equally comfortable tweeting national level initiatives as he shares selfies while posing with Bollywood stars, politicians, students and fans.

He also became the first Prime Minister in the world to take the Twitter Mirror with him on tour. It is no surprise that his celebratory election winning tweet is India’s Golden Tweet for 2014
